We understand that dementia is a journey that looks different for everyone. That’s why we’re launching Moments that Matter. A new group designed to support people living with mild to moderate dementia and their carers.
Whether you’re moving on from our MIST support group or are new to our services, this group offers a relaxed, welcoming space for connection, support, and shared experiences.
What to expect:

Financial Information Session for Parent Carers
Being a parent carer can bring many extra costs and it is not always easy to know what support is available. Whether you're new to claiming benefits or simply want to check that you're not missing out on any help, this friendly and informal session is for you.
A few weeks ago, carers voted for the topics they would most like to learn about. We've brought together the three most popular themes into one session.
We'll also look at:

Grants and one-off payments that many families don't know about
Help with energy costs and household bills
Carer discounts and concession schemes
Mobility and travel support
Useful websites, organisations and resources
This is not a formal training course. It's a relaxed and supportive opportunity to learn, ask questions and connect with other parent carers.
Our hope is that by the end of the session you'll feel more confident about the financial help available and better equipped to access the support you and your family may be entitled to.
