One of our key roles here at CoWL is supporting professionals to identify and help unpaid carers and disabled people access support and services.

We’ve got loads of helpful materials and training courses to help identify and support unpaid carers and disabled people for support to improve their quality of life and that of the person they care for.

Whether you’d like to become a Carer Positive organisation, learn how to support someone you work with, or gain a better understanding of accommodating needs, we’re here to help. Through a range of awareness raising and training sessions we can work with you to deliver training in-person or online.

How carer aware are you?

The Unpaid Carer Programme at NHS Education for Scotland have launched a podcast channel, How carer aware are you? This podcast is for everyone working in health, social care, and the third sector. It’s about understanding how to work with Unpaid carersas Equal Partners in Care.
