Gianna was a regular member of her local women’s kickboxing club, but her caring responsibilities meant that she felt she had to give up her job and she couldn’t afford it anymore. Using her Time to Live gran, she was able to re-join this club again.

Cameron lives with and cares for their mum who has osteoporosis. Cameron helps their mum with everyday tasks, cooking and cleaning, and prepares her medication and supplements for her. Through a Time to Live grant, they were able to buy their own snowboard and pay for sessions at a nearby ski centre.

For young carer Amelia, laying football was the perfect break! Amelia helps her dad care for younger brother who has Down Syndrome. Using a Time to Live grant, she was able to get all the kit she needed to join the local girls’ football club and pay her membership.

Edith is a carer for her sister Lynne who has dementia. She can become very disorientated, anxious and distressed which can be isolating and challenging, both physically and emotionally, for Edith. She used her Time to Live grant to buy a membership for her local book club.

Evander lives with and carew for his girlfriend Adeline who was left permanently disabled after an accident. He provides physical and emotional support for her and helps with some personal care. Adeline’s disability also means that he does most of the household tasks, which can all be very tiring. He used his Time to Live grant to buy swimming sessions at his local leisure centre.
