Time to Live

Our Time to Live Fund allows carers to take a well deserved break. Through small grants, you can choose the best way for you to get some time away from your caring role.

What is the Time to Live Fund?

Funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Shared Care Scotland, this program works through local delivery partners who ensure the grants reach carers of all kinds—whether they’re adult carers, parent carers, or young carers. The aim is simple but powerful: to support carers, strengthen their relationships, and enhance their health and happiness while also benefiting the people they care for.

The best part? These grants allow carers to be creative! Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a spa day, gym membership, sewing lessons, or even a new bike, the possibilities are endless. Time to Live is all about giving carers the chance to focus on themselves and enjoy a meaningful, refreshing break.

Our Time to Live scheme gives unpaid carers in West Lothian the opportunity to take a well-deserved short break. These microgrants—small amounts of funding—can make a huge difference, helping carers take time to recharge, reconnect, and focus on their own well-being.
