Supporting someone with memory difficulties or dementia can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be emotionally and physically demanding. It’s easy to become so focused on the other person’s needs that your own wellbeing slips down the list. Caring for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential. When you’re supported, rested and connected, you’re better able to support the person you care for.

Small steps can make a big difference over time. By taking regular moments to care for yourself, you can feel more grounded, supported and resilient.
