Breaks from caring

When you’re caring for someone it can be easy to put their needs before your own. However, the benefits of taking a break should never be underestimated.

What is a break?

When you’re caring for someone it can be easy to put their needs before your own. However, the benefits of taking a break should never be underestimated.

Finding some ‘me time’ to relax and unwind is so important for both yourself and those you care for. Taking a break can be a great way to boost your health and recharge your batteries.

Below are some of the ways we support carers to access a break from caring.

How can I access a break?

Our Services

  • Our Time to Live microgrants offer unpaid carers and young carers the chance to access breaks from caring.

  • Access local attractions, partner discounts and much more with our voucher scheme. Contact our team to discuss.

  • We provide various groups and events throughout the year offering unpaid carers a break from their caring role. Even if just for a few hours. Find out what’s happening near you.

  • Have you heard about our CoWL Cards? They offer identification for unpaid carers and hold an emergency contact in case found. You can also access a host of exclusive discounts and offers only available using the card.
